The shaping of the material depends on feeling and great precision - because its resistance, one of the outstanding properties of the beautiful natural material, is always a challenge, even for experienced craftsmen. Stencils and other traditional tools help to create harmonious, even baskets. But no tool can replace the great craftsmanship experience required for rattan processing. For this reason, we work together with an experienced Japanese-Indonesian manufacturer who has revived and perfected the traditional craft of rattan braiding in Indonesia in modern companies.
